An item that extends slide duration

I think that we need some kind of item that simply extends the slide duration, conserving your momentum for longer than default. The infinite ammo-on-slide mechanic is so brilliant and I would love to see ways to extend or play with it a bit more.

Out of curiosity what would be the advantage to buying an item that extends slide duration directly compared to items that boost your overall move speed that indirectly lead to a longer slide duration due to a higher initial momentum/speed?

Not saying this is a bad idea but I am curious how the two variables interact.

That's a good question, I haven't actually noticed additional slide duration even with increased speed items. I believe that it does extend the distance you're able to slide but it hasn't been perceptible. Maybe I'm completely wrong and this is redundant. I feel like some method of reducing the slide friction would be different, though.
