All new characters don't show their ability descriptions

At first this was just Rem for me, but every new character shows stuff like this, I have no mods and even reinstalled the game

This looks like the game is missing the text strings for the new heroes. Do you know if you had any mods installed that modified your language files or hero data files?

It's weird that uninstalling the game hasn't fixed it. Maybe try doing a clean uninstall by deleting all the game files from your Steam folder

Nah I've only ever installed sound changing mods, when i swap languages the abilities are fine, its just english.

i had the same bug and i had the "Jacket (Billy Overhaul)" mod installed and uninstalling that mod got rid of it, perhaps try to launch without mods if you use the mod manager (even if u have none installed)
