Aiming at a very high angle causes shots to hit the ground.

If you are looking up (almost full vertical) and shoot, the projectiles hit the ground as soon as they leave your gun instead of actually firing into the air. It is most obvious with Yamato alt-fire since there will be an explosion at your feet.
