after the sep 26 update, ping bound to mouse5 no longer works

It works when I change it to mouse4, and then it stops working again when I change it back to mouse5. I can't see that mouse5 is bound to another function. The physical button must be working or else I wouldn't have been able to re-bind it by pressing it.

While holding mouse5 when it is bound to ping, the mouse stops moving the view, but no context wheel is visible.
Mouse4 behaves normally.

After resetting all controls to defaults it works as normal.
