After the latest update game starts to freeze/stutter after a single game session

Don't think it started with the Old Gods update, but after the last to chars were added.
On a laptop with 8GB VRAM 4070 GPU I have to restart the game after a single game because otherwise I start getting insane hiccups every 3-4 seconds to the point of the game becoming unplayable. Otherwise my FPS stays high (100-200).

Some sort of memory/resource leak was an issue even before, but that usually manifested itself after 3-4 games (so sometimes not even once during a single day session) and was just occasional stutter when some ability is used or something like that, not every few seconds.

My friend also have this issue on different HW. Didn't experience it when putting all settings on low (except disabled scalers).
 
Ive had an issue akin to this albeit for me its been mostly an issue with trying to play deadlock on Linux as performance has been decent on windows from my experience.

I can say that Ive been experiencing stutters since I started playing during the Old Gods New Blood update in late january up until the current early dev build #6,395. Its occurred on Fedora 43, CatchyOS Jan 2026 and now Bazzite 43.20260313 both with Proton and via the Native Build.

The game can run decently stable between 70-90fps but then randomly it will start dropping to as low as 5-10fps. Sometimes briefly or for a considerably long time, even if there is not much happening. It even occurs in the lobby, not even when I am in a match. I am also playing on the lowest graphics settings and with Nvidia DLSS.

My current specs are:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800H (iGPU disabled)
32gb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Mobile / Max-Q
DE: KDE Plasma 6.6.2 Wayland
Kernel Version: Linux 6.17.7-ba28
