Active reload and actions that pause it

I second that this bug still happens in the newest version. Here's an example with Heavy melee:

It's a little more problematic here from gameplay standpoint, because you can chain your melee and reload for better damage output. Since the item doesn't behave as expected, players might feel their playstyle is being hindered by a fault that isn't their own.

I came here to report this too. This has been frustrating me for so long.
Thank you for the videos and other comments already posted here.

This makes me question sometimes if it's something I want to get from the shop. You "miss" this one reload so and it goes on cooldown again, and if you "miss" the next one it feels like forever in game and as though you don't have active reload at all, just a wasted slot.
 
I just noticed this established thread discussing this. Here is what I said about this in another thread discussing the same thing. I'm discussing only the interaction with dash there, but I've retested this with both light and heavy melees and it remains to work as long as you time it correctly.
