Abusing yamato alt fire with infinite ammo in lane (tip/trick)

This is just against bots but I did have match where I dominated a dual lane very hard with bebop. The bridge slope is very abusable since sliding gives you infinite ammo currently, and yamato's alt fire is balanced around only being able to use it 4 times before a long reload early on.

Not a bug, just abusing a feature that every character has access to. I'm not sure why its in the game in the first place though.
 
Yamato is designed to be a hero who can punish short-range enemies early on, but can suffer from cleverly executed long-range poke

its reversed later into the game - it can get difficult for her to compete with short-range specialists, but she excels in assassinating long-rangers

When sliding, bullets are not spent. Therefore, throwing grenades does not waste the number of rounds. 🔫
I think it's really worth doing something about it. 🐛

as I see it now, all the free sliding spaces are carefully placed in open/dangerous locations

this makes these spaces important to contest - otherwise no-one would really ever want to be there

in a game with so much space-denial abilities is shouldn't be a problem for skilled enough players
the problem comes when you are playing an unfair lane matchup – I don't see any solution for that other than coordinating with other players on your team and lane-switching (which can be frustratingly difficult in mm)

Do we really need this infinite ammo while sliding thing? It seems so out of place. Put it as a bonus for some item, I don't think it's interesting enough to be a core mechanic

I support this idea because I also think it is superfluous. It's not even written about this in the training, I think the developers will remove this feature or make it an item.🍻🧐
 
I agree with the idea above above, it seems like this shouldn't be available from the start of the round, you should add it as a bonus to some item for late game.
 
Personally I found out about the slide from this thread, and I think it's helpful early game for creep farming. You get free shots without using any ammo, which can help with keeping ammo for securing/stealing souls.
I think the real issue is it's kind of nonsensical of a mechanic. Sliding giving free ammo isn't somthing that a player would naturally realise on their own, especially since sliding is quite an obscure movement option for low level play.
 
I had no idea sliding gives infinite ammo. That's definitely unintuitive, yes, and seems really busted on some heroes

It's cool but I'd agree making it an item bonus rather than baseline behavior would make more sense to me
