Abrams ult issues

Just had a basic use of Abrams ult seemingly do nothing upon landing. (see video)
I have also had many issues with Abrams ult dealing 0 damage if I land any distance above or below the target, with things like stairs or small props preventing the ult from doing anything. I do not have a video but I have landed on the small circular object in lane many times to watch my ult deal no damage to the person standing next to it.

I've had similar experiences. Also when people are jumping/double jumping it will do nothing (maybe intentional but seems kinda bad if it can be done consistently).

Had a similar thing happen today as well.
