to add onto this: rebuttal's amp multiplies every other source of amp in the game (which multiply rebuttal again presumably)
getting parried once by a victor with 23k lets him deal 4k damage in 2 punches

Yeah you didn't increase your damage, that's just showing the total damage, similar to how shooting 10 bullets will show the final damage of all 10 bullets at once.

Try using only rebbutal + superior duration and no other items for clarity, and then just space out your melees by an extra second or so (rebbutal duration is 7.7 seconds with superior duration),

it will be the same damage on every melee.
