A new hero based on the mythological creature known as a dullahan, a headless entity often on a search to relocate their missing head. Their story could be linked to a great archaeologist fueled by greed caught in a trap of an ancient pharaoh's temple in search of their tomb, losing their head thanks to this incident. The maelstrom resurrected the killed archaeologist, but also the pharaoh within the tomb. So as 'payment', the archaeologist stole the pharaoh's head to use as their own until they got their head and glory back thanks to the patrons.
Their Wish - To have their head and glory returned to them, this leans into the idea of wanting their identity back for the sake of their ego and to be a presence in the world yet again. Alternatively, could somehow link to their horse which they maybe lost after they died, and wanting their horse back.
Their kit could be devised around the idea of swapping out replacement heads to activate different abilities (and maybe even passive effects), such as a head for their main weapon. Possibly each head was taken by vicious/murderous means. The dullahan might have a bag or a necklace of shrunken heads it uses to swap them out and utilize them, could have a visual effect too for when the heads go on cooldown such as removing them from the necklace or taking a while to grow back.
Main Weapon - Screwed On Tight
A replacement head the Dullahan favors most out of the others, the ancient head of a pharaoh they stole and use as a substitute until their actual head is returned. The head fires heavy hitting, slow fire rate bursts of energy from within towards the enemies, each hit gradually building towards a debuff called the 'Dullahan's Envy' that increases headshot damage taken.
First Ability - Howling Headache - The Dullahan puts on the head of a Banshee, unleashing a loud feral scream that hurts enemies in a cone and potentially at max upgrade stuns/slows or disrupts their accuracy much like doorman's call bell. This will be the main theme of the ability usage, swapping out heads to utilize various abilities.
Second Ability - MRIgraine/Magnetic Migraine - A Head Carved from highly magnetic material the Dullahan stole from a museum of strange items, by attaching this head to themselves they attract any bullet fired to their head and divert it away from their teammates. Any bullets attracted will damage the head, but not the Dullahan themselves. Could possibly work alongside projectiles at a higher upgrade. This Head will have a damage limit to how much it can take separate to the base health, and once it 'breaks' or runs out it goes on cool down. Alternatively, might boost the fire rate of allies around and increase their bullet velocity/damage by acting as a magnetic slingshot for their guns in a radius.
Third Ability - Passive - The Dullahan's Envy - Each shot landed (or headshot) landed by the Dullahan will build up to a debuff against the enemies that increases headshot damage taken by the Dullahan. This effect can be refreshed by consistently landing headshots on the enemy, rewarding precision aim. At max upgrade the debuff impacts headshot damage taken from every enemy, and/or will build up passively when near the Dullahan for an extended period of time. A slower build up passively, but a faster build up for landing a headshot.
Ultimate Ability - The Pharaoh's Due - The Dullahan takes the head of Pharaoh they stole from the temple off, and raises it above themselves towards the sky. The head proceeds to weigh the souls of all enemies is caught in the radius, a large guillotine or set of ancient Egyptian Khopesh, that descend violently upon the enemies stunning and damaging them via decapitation - Or damaging and making them unable to use their guns due to not having any "head" to see and aim - Possibly can be used on allies with alt cast to make them immune to headshot damage temporarily, as they were judged to be good.
