Dear Yoshi,
I am a huge fan of Venator upon his release, but I am kind of confused about his play style: his nades seem to be poking, and his crossbow is ranged execution. But his gutshot and trap are only effective when placed in close range. It seems his style is mixed; thus, his items can't buff his combat effects over time because those buffs are sometimes contradictory.
So, I came up with some small rework ideas that can make his skills and items more consistent: a close-range fighter dealing damage through his M1 and skills, which I have talked with others about in Discord:
Remove his resistance scaling with spirit power, which is so confusing. Or give him some base resistance.
Generades: no longer bounce and explode once touching the surface or enemies;
Shotgun: no need to change;
Trap: no bouncing from the wall;
Crossbow: His crossbow becomes a “rechargeable” ability like Rem’s lil helpers, 3 parabola stakes at most in the crossbow, and each one requires 60 seconds to refill, but you can swap weapons as long as you have usable stakes. Deal a 80% damage of current version and can’t benefit from recharge/cooldown-enhancing items. Give you 10% resistance to bullets, spirit, and debuff when you hurt an enemy hero with blessed stakes, including shotgun T3. T1: as current T2; T2: as current T3; T3: once you execute an enemy with blessed stakes, give you a free blessed stake to shoot immediately.
