A daredevil Hero concept

A circus man looking to the patrons to help save his troupe and family from their bankrupt circus.

Playstyle/Gameplay focus:
  • Daredevil would be a mid to close range fighter, main focus on sheer aggression and rushing people down, before they can react.
  • Daredevil's gun would be a 6-shooter revolver, and he would have a cane sword. DD's gun would have no ADS and would instead have a fan-fire alt fire with low accuracy.
  • Daredevil would have a passive resource, grit, that would be unlocked automatically level 1 that would enhance his abilities in someway. Enhanced abilities would consume grit. Meaning Daredevil is as much down as he is waiting for his time to strike you. Grit would generate passively at 1 every 3 seconds, more info in abilities section.
  • The main gameplay loop/bread and butter combo would be Ability 2 -> fan-fire -> Ability 1 -> Ability 1 recast.

Abilities:
  1. Thrust: Daredevil stabs forward with his cane sword dealing spirit damage scaling with his spirit power. Enhanced Thrust: Allows this ability to be recast and slows on hit. This ability would have a 15 second cooldown, as well as dealing 50 + 1.1 spirit power, spirit damage, the second cast dealing an additional 40 + .5 spirit power. The enhanced version of this ability does no grant grit on damage, and consumes 50 grit.
    1. -4 second cooldown
    2. Initial hit gains 25 base damage, the second cast gains .5 spirit scaling.
    3. Daredevil heals for a portion of the damage dealt by this ability
  2. Charge forth: Daredevil quickly rushes forward stopping on first enemy player hit, dealing melee damage scaling with spirit power. Colliding with a player reloads Daredevil's revolver. This ability has a 20 second cooldown. Enhanced effect would pop enemy player up in the air. Consumes 50 grit for enhanced effect. Damaging players with this ability always grants grit.
    1. Colliding with players grants improved fire-rate, and alt-fire accuracy.
    2. Colliding with players grants a 100 + 1 spirit scaling shield.
    3. Hitting an enemy player with the enhanced effect refunds 20 grit.
  3. Stand tall: Daredevil passively gain grit. Grit is used to enhance his abilities and >50 grit grants 1 meter/second move speed. Generate 1 grit passively every 3 seconds. Hitting enemy players grants increased rate of grit generation, and hitting NPCs grants 1 grit. Hitting enemies with ability 1 or 2 grants 10 grit instantly.
    1. Grants Daredevil 5 bonus grit when landing final blows on NPCs
    2. Passive grit generation delay reduced by 1 second. 1 grit every 2 seconds.
    3. While Ultimate ability is active Daredevil gain greatly improved grit generation.
  4. Ring of Fire: Daredevil creates a ring of fire around himself. Enemies trapped within the ring are briefly slowed on cast, and cannot use mobility spells. Enemies who leave the ring take 100 + 1.5 spirit power, spirit damage, and an additional 30% of that damage over 5 seconds. 150 second cooldown, 6 meter radius, and if Daredevil leaves the ring it cancels the ability. This spell lasts for 6 seconds.
    1. Within the ring you cannot have less than 15 grit.
    2. Within the ring you cannot have less than 40 grit.
    3. Leaving the ring no longer cancels the ability. Ring lingers for 2 seconds before fading, Daredevil re-entering the ring resets this effect.
