After watching the recent styropyro video about wiring 400 car batteries together I thought this'd make an incredible character for Deadlock
Basically, what happens throughout the video is that the incredibly violent discharges of electricty generate such strong magnetic forces that the metal that's around the explosions just flies in towards the current. And I think that'd be great for a Tusk-like character.
His ultimate would be the Walrus Punch, except instead of knocking the person around, it's a single impact frame with sparks flying everywhere afterwards. It would still apply a short stun even if it doesn't knock people around. And when you get「400 CAR BATTERIES」to a tier 3 upgrade, it also gains magnetism, causing it to pull in every enemy unit similar to a vortex web.
One of his normal buttons would be the Earth Spirit pull, where you're able to pull your allies out of danger, or use it to apply a strong slow on an enemy that only applies when walking away from you.
In order to make it less bullshit, his abilities would have a shared charge mechanic, because unlike Seven, he doesn't just naturally generate electricity from his body, and as such when he blows his circuits pulling an ally, it also weakens his ultimate. I think he could have some fun mechanics with that where it recharges on its own, but getting souls charges it faster, so he is 100% incentivized to blow his abilities to secure an objective or a kill because that would instantly recharge him and he can explode one of the defenders again.
Since he's incentivized to go for objectives, he should have an ability that makes him good at taking them. I'm thinking a wire that he tosses like a Holliday lasso, and when it connects to a person, they start violently sparking, and the person either has to either break line of sight or someone else on the team can walk in between the two to break the line. I think having them get out of range would be kind of boring counterplay since rationally, they cannot, he has the strong slow on them if they try to walk away, therefore that would only work with items or abilities. Anywho, the ability also is great at pushing towers, because it's basically a nox nostra, you put that on the tower, the tower starts rapidly degrading and someone has to risk walking between you and the walker to stop you, which opens them to getting the「400 CAR BATTERIES」. When the wire is upgraded, it also causes the enemy to start shooting uncontrollably, and they will be unable to reload while the wire is on them. Great counterplay for heroes with small mag sizes who rely on items like Mercurial to reload, because the bullets will not refill even if it's a special reload. It also happens to completely fuck over billy, who will not reload when he melees.
I'm also thinking he could have a mechanic where his abilities cause enemies to become magnetic, which has two funny effects: Two magnetic enemies will constantly be pulled towards each other, and magnetized enemies are repelled by the 400 car batteries man, which would cause a very funny interaction where you can bodyblock, because they can't walk or jump through you, making him incredibly good at stopping urn and fighting indoors. And Mcginnis has no hope of ever getting away from him, he will simply quarterback her.
His gun would simply be plasma balls, because throughout the video, the violent discharges have a tendency to create plasma.
Overall, I think it'd be fun to have an electric character that is more about instantaneous discharges compared to Seven and Victor's constant current design.
