24 Hour ban for bad internet outages. Suggesting some sort of "malicious vs unintentional" detection system.

I am not sure this is where this kind of post goes.

The issue.
To the best of my memory, I have only left a match intentionally once. [After The Patron was already destroyed, I just did not wait until the end card dissipated]

I had one previous game where my internet gave out, then I reconnected. [I think we won that game if I remember correctly. I could very well be wrong.]

This most recent game, massive lage spike, I rejoin after a few minutes of trying. One of my teammates had also disconnected [Unsure if it was for the same reason.] "Match can be abandoned without penalty." I stay anyway. We Lose. Fine, next game.

Try to requeue, Low Priority and a full twenty four hour ban.

Speculations.
I have also noticed these disconnections happen when I am doing particularly well, or my team is doing well. I cannot tell if I am being paranoid or if somehow a lag switch of some kind is being used? [In this last game, the other teammate who got disconnected was doing the best on the team]

The suggestion.
I think there should be some sort of detection system for not only reconnects, but also unintentional disconnections.
There are numerous threads on here complaining about similar issues, some with full game crashes, some with server issues.

Clarifications.
This is of particular concern for me as, aside from some "Damn it, I could of had that," or "That was evil," I try to be pretty proactively nice to the enemy team while playing, even when losing. I would hate to be labelled as some malicious "griefer" out to sabotage games by disappearing for no reason, and I am sure there are others who feel the same.

This is not a plea to reverse my current ban or whatever, this is a post made out of a genuine concern that this issue could jeaprodize the longevity of the game.

It is physically impossible to distinguish a genuine internet outage from just unplugging your ethernet cord.

You aren't penalized 24 hours for your first leave. You've left games before. The punishment is 100% valid. Fix your internet.

As I said in the post, this has happened before. [I do not have the best memory in all fairness.] This is not something I can readily fix unfortunately, I am a college student without much money. These spikes happen suddenly during the evening, and at inconsistent intensities. Sometimes it results in some skipping, and if bad enough, full loss of connection.

You bring up a good point, someone turning off their wifi to evade a penalty would be something to worry about. However, penalties after reconnection remain iffy feeling. I can 100% understand if failure to reconnect would result in these penalties, since you could presume the person doing so purposefully shut off their internet or unplugged a cable.

Yes I am, although it is usually very stable, nearly everyday there is a random five to six minute period where it will totally give out or have a huge lag spike. [Typically in the evenings.]
Evenings is peak times for bandwidth usage. Not much you can do, unfortunately.
