While playing the game, you can earn currency that can be spent on purchasing new versions of the hideout. the hotel from Lady Geist’s novella, the bar where Infernus used to work, and much more.
Which starting location would you choose for yourself?
Watchers would look pretty cool in Deadlock — small statues/objectives that watch over an area and reveal enemies on the minimap.
To claim the souls from the bag, you need to be standing near it. Be careful an enemy hero can interfere and stop you from taking them. (The souls will be shared among everyone standing near the soul bag.)
The Bazooka Trooper spawns for the first time on each lane at the 5-minute mark with a 300-second interval. After the 30-minute mark, two units begin spawning per lane.
If you stay inactive in the shelter for a long time, the cat will start increasing in size (getting fatter) depending on how much time you’ve spent being idle in the shelter.
Changing time cycles in the game
Every game needs a cute character that grabs a huge chunk of the fanbase. If Marvel has Jeff the Landshark, then in Deadlock that role could easily be filled by Familiar. He should be a lazy, feathered character to make him as adorable as possible running around in pajamas and carrying a pillow.
I wonder if Sinclair will have a mystical/arcane look or a classic 1960s magician style.
I’d love to see something more interesting, but knowing Valve, we’ll probably get the standard magician look from that era though who knows…
