To clarify how this works, it only activates Veil Walker if the path between two doors has a veil in-between. It won't activate if the path has no veils.

I can see on your taskbar that you have Source 2 Viewer open. Any programs that interface with Deadlock / Source 2 games directly will prevent updating the game. Close S2V and any other programs that would be looking at Deadlock's contents.
