#3 is not true, My wife never launched deadlock through family share, I delisted my wife from family share and had a mutual friend invite her and she still didn't receive an invite. I see that you've had your issue resolved though, congrats!!

More info on my situation, My wife never launched the game through family share. However just having family share active when the invite is sent will cause it not to show. She still shows as "Invited" but has no email/notification on steam.
So even if you don't accidentally run the game on...
