I tested with Geist bomb, the extra range does work, it isn't just visual. I do not know if it is any different with other characters.

If you activate arcane surge and try to cast life drain using the extra 15% range, it will indicate it is possible however using the ability will remove the targeting icon and not attach a tether. Footage of this occurring in testing is attached

Despite Divine Barriers description saying it cleanses non -stun debuffs, on testing it in the lobby, it was able to remove Seven's 2nd ability.

Tested further in lobby, only happens if there is the cart leads you into a door.
