Multiple new invites might not work since the Steam user has already been granted access. Your best bet would be to send an email to the deadlock playtesting email address or DM Yoshi here, but he rarely replies. You could also try getting a hold of Yoshi on Discord.
Did you ever get a reply from Yoshi? I noticed that the () is empty in your email. Someone else had issues in the past due to their username having special characters.
Does your friend have someone else with the same name on their list? This may be a rare occurrence of the link failing to grant the package to your account but I feel there might've been a human error in the referral process.
Yoshi doesn't really help users with issues like this one but I would...
Make sure you check that it activated to the correct account. There should be a parenthesis () before the link with the name of the account that will get the game.

Got it. Thank you for getting back to me! Hope you're able to get in this time.
I'm going to keep trying to have my situation fixed but haven't received any responses to my DM or the email I sent.

I've received several legitimate referrals since then, to a...
The same email where you got your forum account info should've had a Steam key if you got in with the old system. The new system gives you a link at the bottom of the email that automatically adds the game to your account if the correct Steam account was selected during the referral. Try sending...
I don't think I answered your first question but if by 'friend time limit' you mean the time you need to be friends with someone so they can invite you, it should be a week give or take.
Email address and Steam account don't need to be linked. Your friend should be able to invite you again. Make sure they type a different email address this time and that they select your Steam profile during the referral process.
My friend has referred me once more selecting my Steam account and using a different email to avoid any overlap with this forum account. Hope this works!
I apologize for posting this here as it's not technically a bug.
My friend invited me to the game but referred the wrong Steam friend which prevented me from having access to the game. I've now been properly referred with the correct Steam account but using the same email as the initial botched...
