same thing happened here. it's an exploit as the majority of bans are automated except the perma bans which a human actually decides on after enough automated bans have happened. if enough people report you then you'll get comms restricted.

I posted my twitch link and was otherwise silent. Got comms restricted after 2 games. I hadn't played for about 2 weeks and this happened out of nowhere. I'm certain the system is automated as I've seen a friend get banned from reporting mid game after reporting someone for griefing...
