Those were probably from the rank adjustments they did. I would bet that street brawl not counting toward rank meant that the decay applied. Just win a game and you'll be back to where you were.
This is probably related to the vent change that lets him use the vents.
When players are considered "small" melees apply this small knockup. This happens to Rem and (presumably, I haven't tested) Calico's third ability.

This isn't the bug OP posted. The Haze is still losing money. OP's bug is selling the egg back to the store for full price and getting four free buffs. Getting 2 buffs for 400 souls is intended behaviour.
Yeah with how many people end up in the sewers with no way out because of Venator 2, Apollo Ult, Shiv 2, Doorman and so on, I think this is a well warranted change.
