I think they should do a full reset of ranks, but in order for that to work they'll have to establish some skills that they expect different ranks to be able to do consistently. If it's just based on wins/losses, the some people will accidentally get carried to high elos they don't belong in.

I believe this only happens if you tab out of Deadlock when you're searching for a match. If you leave Deadlock as the main window, it won't happen.

What do you mean by "quit spectating it." Are you force-quitting before the game shows the ending screen?

I just watched an Ivy get hit with this bug on a clips compilation. I was wondering what was happening and the voice over said "She panicked so hard she forgot how to climb" or something like that. This makes a lot more sense.
