Couldn't the idea with this change forcing Sinclair to go under enemy tower be circumvented simply by facing away from the tower (like down the stairs) when placing it?

It seems odd to encourage literally not shooting, even in an opt-in item context, in an FPS game? Even if you prefer not to use your gun for damage there are still mechanics like soul denys/confirms that should always be relevant.
