Keep at it and once and a while they bump up ranks. My advice is to turn the rank off in settings, forget about it, have fun and improve your skills.

I had a game I was in and it ended abruptly. I could not rejoin after restarting the game and Steam, so I left to do errands. I am trying to play again but the game is still in progress and is not in my match history. It's been like 4 hours as of writing this. I can't play until this ghost game...
