Why does NVIDIA capture sometimes not work?

I like to clip gameplay but sometimes, when playing on full screen, my instant replay just isn't avaliable. Or sometimes when taking a clip it goes to desktop instead the deadlock folder.

Typically recording a game in fullscreen borderless requires the "Privacy" feature to be turned off, as it's technically capturing the windows desktop. This might be what's happening for you.

I can record my desktop just fine though. In fact, in boardless windows there doesn't seem to be an issue. Just in fullscreen.
