While queueing in South America we got matched to a NA server

A friend and I, we both live in southamerica got queued up twice to NA servers, our ping was really bad, the first time we abandoned the match and even though our region was already set as south america, we tried overriding it with the console comand and it still connected us to a NA match, it sucked
