(weird artifacts from OBS -> kdenlive, probably mangohud/loonix stuff causes this)

Didnt show fast footage from Ivy, but it just felt like Geist time travels to steal my denies lmao.
Or her bullet is just a fucking 10cm invisible cylinder with hitscan ?
First deny I agree I kinda failed, but second ? You can audibly hear her shot going after my shot is directly on the soul.

Really makes me wonder wether Han Solo shot first or was it directors cut.

I feel like I see and experience this issue a lot. There are definitely times where I simply miss, but there are other times I feel like I am unloading McGinnis machine gun into souls, and somehow the enemy will still collect them or deny them first.
At first I thought it was just bullet travel time, or the spread of McGinnis machine gun itself (a hero I frequently play that I observe the problem on), but now I wonder if there's something more server related going on.

I've slowly started to transition to just meleeing creeps as much as possible to secure last hits, since it feels like maybe laning is favoured more towards meleeing effectively anyway?, so I also honestly just didn't know if somehow some of this was by design.

I read somewhere that securing souls is easier but denying them is harder, literally on a delay/ping basis.
I have no idea how but Valve has invented a time machine lmao.

This is probably it, it is now favoured to confirm souls rather than deny them, it used to be the other way around a few patches ago

I thought this was only for the purposes of lag compensation, but in that event it also leaves me wondering, how are you as a player supposed to know when it is or isn't okay to deny souls?
In my case I feel like the game is just as finicky when securing souls.

If securing or denying a soul feels more like luck or RNG, "maybe this bullet will or will not count, who knows?", then where is the room for player skill in that equation?

Theres definitely room for player skill, decisions for when to harass and when to deny, when to secure, similar to dota really. Especially observable in duo lanes where one can focus creeps and other harasses.

In 1v1 lanes this is often a bit annoying, just feels like opponent sees the souls before you do lol.
Sometimes i wonder how it would be like if we would simply have ability to shoot own creeps when they are in their "ghost" status.
