Went from Ritualist 3 to Arcanist 6 on one loss. The next game was a win - deranked to Alchemist 6. Two wins after that I'm still only Arcanist 1. Like, cmon. I was already in elo hell and while it's fun to just wreck the opponents I have been striving so long against my newbie teammates who do everything in their power to lose every single game. About every 10 games you match up with other people that can actually play decently.
My rank has not decayed, I got aggressively adjusted as if it was placement matches but I have played at least 20 games per week since August.
Please just fix the matchmaking and ranking - what quality is the data gathered now anyway when games are full of players with an extreme skill spectrum playing the same games? I'm all for increasing the insecurity in the ranking, to adjust players either way, but there has to be some other metrics than simply win/loss. I feel like I'm taken hostage, and game quality is horrible - stomp or be stomped.
