Weird Yet Super Cool HOTS Character Mechanic Inspiration

This was originally posted to the deadlock discord channel in a thread I made about Ideas & Inspiration under the #theory-crafting channel. There are some really cool hero ideas there that others have made which definitely deserve some attention, everyone should check those out if you get a chance.

I have some characters here with mechanics that I feel ooze with creativity and super fun or game-changing mechanics that change the very way the player interacts with the game and other players, and I would love to see reimagined in deadlock.

Ragnaros Spotlight – Heroes of the Storm
Ragnaros in Heroes of the Storm has a very fun ultimate where he can take over an entire turret to become a player-controlled boss (like Walkers or the Humanoid Guardian Turrets) and use devastating new abilities at a huge but stationary post which can defend or push back entire lanes

Cho’Gall Spotlight – Heroes of the Storm
Cho'Gall is also a really interesting character because he is essentially one co-op character played by two players as the two different heads on the same body. I would love to see this dynamic in deadlock, where one character could control the movement and close range abilities, and another could control advanced spells/ranged attacks, and when killed would count as two kills

Heroes of the Storm - Abathur Spotlight
Finally, there is Abathur who literally plays the game remotely, hiding in a (hopefully) secluded spot in a jungle or dark corridor, spawning extra minions from where he hides that walk towards lanes to help the existing minions (or give away his location) He can also remotely spectate lanes and "infect" aka possess teammates to use special abilities from their locations, buff minion or towers, or posses a minion and make it a super minion he can control. I imagine instead of the top-down camera, the spectator camera implementation could be reused to have this character "jump between hosts" on their team of either teammates or minions, empowering them and unlocking supportive abilities and more. The character could hide on a rooftop with special minions continuously spawning that path toward the nearest lane, giving away the character's position and encouraging roamers or flankers to seek out the host body.
