Id like to see gun items that make you play a little differently, kind of like how split shot works, that totally changes how you play. I was thinking that the aim mechanic is underused past laning, so something that encourages you use your aim would be good, i was thinking of something like: While you are aiming, your next shot is empowered by however long you aimed (up to a max of 3 seconds). This changes many characters builds and breaks the current fire rate meta we are seeing as it would be quite useless in that case.
I also believe you guys struck gold on backstabber, i find that item very fun and changes where you want to aim and shoot, so another item i can think of is something similar to how spirit burn triggers, but on a certain body part, where dealing enough gun damage to the LEGS causes a rooting debuff to happen for half a second or so
