I don't know if this bug or a feature
However I just noticed that if a player (at least if they are on the other team) shoots a target through a Doorman door, the damage is calculated from the players position, not the exiting door position.
Why is that important?
Because if you shoot through a Door that is placed halfway across the map, the weapon damage will be treat as if the weapons is out of range. E.g Instead of being 5 meters from the target, the target it treated as if they are 50 meters from the target.
The reason I think this is a potential bug is that I would have sworn this was not always the case when it came to the damage that could be dealt through a door.
If you want to attempt to recreate this interaction, you'll need a Doorman to set up a door at least 30 - 40 meters apart, then have another character shoot the Doorman through the door. The result should be significantly reduced weapon damage dealt to the Doorman.
