Walljumps no longer require a direction key to perform

Reporting as a bug since it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes: performing a walljump no longer requires ANY directional input at all, which makes them sometimes unpredictable and less controllable overall.

they mentioned something about wall jumps in the patch notes. But what ever it is its a lot easier to do them than before. Been bouncing all over the place.

I like it this way, lots of times when moving fast horizontal I just want to bounce naturally with high speed rather than affect my trajectory

Use it a whole lot with zipline and heavy melee cancel

would love to see walljumps no longer have that neutral input and once again require that directional movement key input

I think ultimately, if you are touching a wall and pressing jump you must be wanting to atleast go higher, and if you actually have a double jump you can still cancel the wall jump into a double jump. This is actually even better with the new system, since you have overwhelming control over the walljump bounce angle.

To be honest, I'm not even sure what you expect your inputs to do that is not this.

If you wanted to do something else, and the walljumping prevented you, I could get it. But obviously any movement tech can be used for random erratic movement if you have no objective, that doesn't make it innately bad.
