The way wall jump interacts with extrusions on walls can cause the player to get a boost in unintended directions.
For instance, when wall jumping and you have an outcropping below you, the player can get boosted fairly high into the air without needing to use any stamina.
It's a narrow window to get the trick to work, but it does work consistently.
