Viscous goo fist

Viscous goo fist some times goes thru the enemy i was targeting but doesn't hit them, i think its because of the terrain where i placed it wasn't flat enough or something like that. It happens to me multiple times per match. also is there some kind of very short charge timer for the cube because it sometimes fails to activate.
