Egg channel counts as an ability for spellslinger, allows you to easily stack it out of combat, consume the egg and enter a fight with all abilities up and max spellslinger.

this is also the case for mirage teleport, you can channel it and cancel it early to stack spellslinger without consuming a cooldown.
