When using an Item such as "Refresher" to refresh cooldown and then swapping the item, the slot remains red permanently. This persists through matches, and even persisted through a server restart. Leaving and rejoining the game did correct this issue.
In my case, this is the steps:
- Equip "Refresher"
- Click it a few times because I did not know I was already off cooldown for my ability
- Use another ability
- Use it to reset cooldown said ability
- Switch out the item for any other "ability" item.
- Red Icon Display
In my case, it is exclusively tied to my "V" item slot, but that might not be true in all cases.
