Unstoppable is not actually suppressing "negative status effects"

I swear this item was working as intended a while ago, where it would remove negative status effects of all kinds.

Currently, it doesn't seem to remove any effects of any kind, just grants the CC immunity as intended but debuffs persist.
Maybe I am wrong on this? Although I don't think this used to be the behavior.
