Unintended Character Movement After Specific Key Combination

Description:

After performing the following key sequence, the player character will experience uncontrolled movement in a direction dependent on the key pressed.

Steps to Reproduce:

Hold down Ctrl + Alt.

Simultaneously press one of the following keys: W, A, S, or D, and then Shift.

Release all keys simultaneously.

The character will begin moving continuously in the direction corresponding to the key pressed in the sequence (e.g., W+Shift will result in continuous forward movement).

Resolution:

The only known resolution is to restart the match.

spam WASD a few times, bet it fixes it

I unintentionally do this every 3rd game or so and this is how I've dealt with it

I suspect this bug is related to input buffer overflow. I was able to reproduce it without using Shift, and pressing the key again fixed it. However, in this specific combination, only restarting the match resolves the issue.

Just adding here that I am also getting this issue once in a while, I was not able to consientetly get it unstuck however. Only a game restart fixes it for me. Very annoying as I use alt as push to talk (otherwise not bound in game) which means this happens quite often...

Bumping to confirm this bug. If you do OP's steps for W then the character will continually run forward. If you press S during this state, the character stops, and releasing S continues the run. If you repeat OP's sequence for S then they will no longer be able to move forward or backward. If you do it for A or D then they will be stuck either moving left or right, and, finally, repeating with the opposite D or A will lock out all movement entirely.

I'm not able to reproduce this bug with diagonal movement-- that is, pressing CTRL+ALT and W+A or W+D then SHIFT before releasing all keys won't lock that movement into place in the same way. The character remains able to move around with WASD normally.

This bug is distinct from my bug during Match #18342383 @22:00 because the character (Paradox) got stuck in a backwards/diagonal back-left movement pattern and no WASD input was able to make any change.
