Unable to aim after typing in the chat

In a match against bots, I typed something in chat and after sending, the cursor was still on screen and i wasn't able to use my crosshair at all. I was still able to walk, shoot and etc, but couldn't move the camera.

I tried typing again, pressing esc, and so on but it only went back to normal after dying and respawning
