I think it was the Chinese anyway?
I enabled my Windows Chinese keyboard, reopened the game, tried typing 你好 and couldn't (unsure why) and nobody responded. I should add that, for whatever reason, Deadlock seems to switch my keyboard to US automatically? Anyway I did this because somebody Chinese was playing with me previously so I wanted to check if anyone else was, as I like talking to Chinese people.
As the game went on nobody was responding to anything I said so finally I tested with all chat, asking if anybody could see the text. Nobody responded so I took that as a no. Next game some people from the previous game were able to see my text.
