Tripling the ultimate cooldowns in Deadlock would fundamentally shift the game from its current "ability-spam" meta toward a high-stakes, tactical experience where every button press carries immense weight. Currently, the short timers often turn team fights into a chaotic slurry of visual effects and "ultimate garbage," where errors in positioning or timing are rarely punished because a powerful reset is only a minute away. By extending these timers significantly, players would be forced to treat ultimates as finite strategic resources rather than standard rotation abilities; this would carve out clear windows of vulnerability, allowing teams to coordinate around "cooldown tracking" and rewarding the disciplined use of basic abilities and gunplay to win skirmishes during the long recharge periods.
