Since Ranked mode appeared, I've played around 70 hours. However, I've decided to stop playing the game completely starting today, and here is why:
It is sad because before Ranked mode appeared, the game was brilliant in all aspects. I do not have a solution to the problem, but copying Overwatch's ranked system is the worst idea you ever had.
Farewell, Infernos and Haze. I loved the 200 hours I spent with you, but I am not ready to experience unfair and unbalanced matchmaking, which ruined the game experience in Overwatch and now in Deadlock in the same manner.
Peace.
- After Ranked mode was introduced, the Unranked system completely lost its meaning for two reasons:
- Unranked games are now much more unbalanced.
- Psychologically, it is no longer fun because there is no reward whatsoever.
- Since Unranked mode does not provide the same psychological satisfaction as Ranked, I try to play only within a narrow time window until 21:00. As an adult with a job until 18:00, this means I can only play 2-3 matches now instead of the 5-7 matches I could play earlier when there were no Ranked matches.
- Ranked matches promise some rewards, making them more emotionally engaging. However, they are also doubly or even triply disappointing when you lose. Considering how poorly the current matchmaking system works, it significantly affects your feelings and emotions.
- Ranked games have brought back smurfs, cheaters, macro users, and other unfair players, which ruins the competitive spirit.
