Swift Blitz: Vitality upgrade to Swift Striker

Swift Striker is a fine item, though I thought it might be interesting to play around with a potential upgrade.

Swift Blitz is an item that explores a seperate "glass cannon" route (unrelated to the Glass Cannon item) by improving general gun dps while taking up a vitality slot, thus preventing the user from building up their defences too well. DPS is improved by an flat increase to Fire Rate and Ammo. The bullet damage bonus is carried over from Swift Striker and the movement slow resist helps maintain the

The bullet resist decrease as a flat -15% is harsh (bare in mind that negative resistances apply a flat value to the base resistances), but it builds off of Swift Striker's stats and prevents the user's effectiveness from snowballing too hard. Rushing an item like this should be a bad idea, since you'd want to improve your base damage and defences first. You may prefer to stick with Swift Striker.

The passive is the same as Fleetfoot, which is still an excellent item in it's own right, but it would be nice to have a way to access that passive without having to sacrifice an Active Slot. I don't think this item would replace Fleetfoot's role, since Fleetfoot is cheaper and grants general movement improvements (including HMC).

It might not be necessary, but I included the Reload Passive to make the item a bit stronger for fighting multiple opponents at once.
This item might be flawed, so feedback is always appreciated.

Maybe I dont understand the point. But why vitality if its meant for a glass cannon build? Shouldnt this either stay a gun upgrade or be a spirit upgrade? All of the stats make sense to me based on what you said but I assume the only reason its vitality is to make room for more gun stuff which I dont really think is a good mindset for item generation when its just for the sake of slot.

If you want to make it an upgrade but have it make room for more guns, but also fit into the "glass cannon" playstyle, i would suggest making it spirit, then maby replace the reload passive with something spirity and glass cannony.

Something along the lines of "getting a kill increases your MS by 3 and gain 23 bonus spirit for 6 seconds. "

It's vitality for a glass cannon build because you're using up a vitality slot for something that makes you move vulnerable not less. I think it's an interesting option. It may be balanced as is as well.

I have to agree with Micbenso on this. The stats don't match the theming of Vitality items (which all improve your ability to live, aka your vitality, in some way shape or form).

What about this as a passive?

Passive:

When you secure a soul, increase your bullet and Spirit resist by 3% (Stacks up to 10 times). Duration: 35 seconds. The remaining duration of this buff is reduced to 4s if you take damage from an enemy hero.

This makes it so that you are sacrificing long term survivability in a fight (due to the reduced bullet resist) but it helps you endure the initial burst of a fight. It still fulfills the theme of "glass cannon" build, but it now better fits the theming for Vitality items.

The above passive would replace the reduced reload on kill passive.

But the vitality item gives extra hp, yea you take more damage, but have a higher health pull to counter act that part.

Maybe if there several items that are along this vane so essentially you cant get things like gun armor to counter this because you used up your vit slots for more damage.

Just seems to be counter-intuitive to the glass cannon idea to me.

It's an interesting concept at the least.
Yea i dont have an issue with the idea of gun items upgrading to vit slots to make room for more damage. Just this particular item being glass cannon themed. If it wasnt glass cannoned themed and based on another item upgrade, like rapid rounds for example, i see no issue.

Hell, make it spirit upgrade with -spirit resist as well (-10 for both) and give it a big spirit component and go all in on the glass cannon.

Yeah, the logic was to reduce the number of vitality slots after buying this item. It's a sort of built in way to prevent stacking multiple Vitality items to negate the downsides of this item. That way, you're sacrificing potential bulk/sustain to improve your current dps.
The main vitality aspect of the item is in the movement (shooting passive and slow resist), but leaning too much into movement would almost make it a green version of Burst Fire, and a straight upgrade to Fleetfoot.

This honestly sounds cool as it's own item. I'm not sure how to feel about building up stacking resistances, since the item was built specifically with it's defence as a weakness, but it is more interesting then the reload passive.
