Swapping internet connections freezes match (sometimes)

Sometimes I'll find myself lagging, and I'll switch internets (dont ask why I have 2), resulting in the match freezing. Reason why I said match and not game is because I can still interact with the menus, just not the match itself. The only way to unfreeze it is to turn the wi-fi on my laptop off completely, wait to get disconnected from the match and then turning it back on and switching to my other internet connection before rejoining.
I should mention this happens sometimes, other times I can switch without any problem, and this has also happened while playing dota.

sure, I'll see if I can get it working in bot matches

sooo I just tested it in a private bot match, and the game didn't freeze once. Maybe it has something to do with the quality of the connections? I remember this stuff occurring when multiple people were using the internet, whereas right now im the only one actively using either.
