Suggestion for unlocking skills

Just a suggestion, but instead of pressing tab and the skill number I found it more convenient to simply press the skill number to unlock and the key combination to upgrade them. since during battles I personally find it somewhat uncomfortable to press that way to unlock skills.

Holding a button like alt and then pressing the skill number should unlock/upgrade. That's my go to in League. I think it's pretty common.

When only one skill is possible to be unlocked that skill should just be automatically unlocked instead of forcing a player to make an awkward input in order to make a non decision

I love the ALT+ ability key suggestion. Alternatively, smite uses the F1-F4 keys for leveling abilities; that is also more fluid than what is currently implemented.

You can already hold ALT and press 1 through 4 to unlock abilities. You can also press and hold an ability number to unlock an ability, as per the tutorial.

I checked the tutorial again and I am not seeing that mentioned anywhere, it only reads to unlock or upgrade abilities by holding TAB. I'm a visual person so I was going off of what was on the screen rather than what they said contrary to text. Thank you for the heads up. Side note, I was originally going to post in the general play feedback, but it popped up a suggestion for this post as something already being discussed.
