I recently came back to Deadlock after taking a break since last November. Before the break I was in Phantom, but after a few games on the new update I ended up at Ritualist because my rank and skill have decayed. Since then, I’ve been grinding game after game, mostly on my main hero, Holiday.
Now here’s what I'm not understanding about ranked:
I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Is this how the current matchmaking/rank system is supposed to work, or could it be a bug with my account? If it’s just about needing a massive win streak to climb, that’s fine — I’ll grind it out. But right now it just feels like my rank is frozen no matter what.
Has anyone else had this issue? Any dev insight would also be great.

- I’ve got about a 57% win rate on Holiday
- Despite this, my rank hasn’t budged at all. I’m hard-stuck at Ritualist 4-6.
- When I queue with my friend (he’s Emissary), we get into higher-level lobbies, from archon to oracle and we still win — and he ranks up, but I don’t, even when we won an oracle game my rank did not budge. game in question:42534793 I was holliday
