I noticed it happened a few times but sometimes if I try to grab a new item and delete an old one, nothing happened. The screen just bugged and stayed in the item selection screen without any item shown. Earlier I was trying to get an enhanced echo shard and delete my improved spirit. However I never got my echo shard and my improved spirit is downgraded to extra spirit. I think it's because I got an extra spirit and upgrade it to an improved spirit in early round. I noticed this pattern where deleting an item that was upgraded doesn't really remove the item instead just downgrade it and bug out the item selection screen which causes you to be unable to grab a new item.
