Stable Ping, just not on Deadlock

So I am getting really strange lag spikes in maybe every other game. I have stable connection, contacted ISP and ensured it wasn't on my side.

Experience random net jitters, random ping spikes in matches. I am in UK, so I am probably near a few servers and can't see how being in the EU region would cause me any lag.

People in the same game as me don't experience the same issues but I have seen expression in topics i.e.

where others are also experiencing this issue.

I just had a whole week of this problem, and until it is patched I can't put myself through ever trying to play because it really isn't playable. I love the game but the network is just terrible.

imma toss it in here too, since tonights patch i get up to 1k ms spikes for a second whenever someone appears on my screen.

Every game I get up to 25-75% "down" ping can hits huge numbers. Doesnt happen on any other game. No adjustment to home network. started maybe 2 patches ago.

This is *probably* not the correct answer but I have a sort of unique situation where I live. My only high speed internet options are 5Mbps down 0.5 up DSL which has ~25ms ping but horrible bandwidth, and StarLink which has 300Mbps down and like 30Mbps up and like 60ms ping.

After I started playing Deadlock I noticed I started getting overage charges on my DSL. And I *only* use the DSL for shooters. Turns out Deadlock currently has an... inordinate amount of net traffic that I wasn't expecting. If you have a limited connection, and I mean pretty heavily limited, you might be getting bandwidth bottlenecked.
