Split shot multi-bullets will NOT buff haze damage if one of them hits the target before the initial bullet even if both bullets are going to hit. This makes her do 6 bullet damage instead of the normal fixation build up damage randomly. THIS WILL NOT OCCUR if you are hitting 2 different targets with split shot.
