Over the past couple of updates, it seems like the spectating system has undergone quite a few regressions, making it more cumbersome to spectate games in the ways we used to:
- Sometimes, games will take forever to load. Even games with existing spectators will just be stuck loading indefinitely, even if you restart the game, meaning some matches become un-spectateable
- the checkbox for finding a friends' match isn't super functional. Sometimes it works, most of the time it really doesn't
- The number of total live games has become so much that the spectate tab no longer displays live games past a certain point, making it impossible to spectate games in any skill ranking lower than high-Archon (I really love spectating and would love a way to spectate all skill levels!)
- Can no longer listen to voice comms/voice chat while spectating, which we used to be able to do (makes the watching experience a lot better and more interesting)
- Weird bugs sometimes crop up that freeze the game and cause steam to crash (unsure what the cause of this is specifically) it's uncommon but tends to happen every once in a while
